As an independent school, and a member of The Girls’ Day School Trust, Heathfield is committed to providing tangible public benefit, as defined by the Charity Commission.
At a national level, the GDST provides a range of public benefits and works consistently to extend them. Two of the GDST schools have been converted to free Academies.
The bursary and scholarship scheme supplemented by support from partners like the HSBC Educational Trust, aims to ensure that all the schools in our group continue to be accessible to able students.
Here at Heathfield, we offer a number of bursaries each year, at 11+ and 16+ entry. We also have partnerships with two high schools, two primary schools and one special school in Harrow. All of our Sixth Formers undertake a community service programme each year, contributing in many ways, ranging from helping out in local schools to undertaking conservation work, as well ass running a ‘silver surfers’ ICT course in school. Students of various ages also carry out voluntary work with local charities, such as Link-up. Our facilities are offered free of charge to several groups, including Gabbitas Masterclasses.
