Entering Sixth Form was a large transition from Year 11 as many changes were taking place such as, entering a new academic year with a smaller number of peers. To help us with this great change and to help us settle in, Year 12 went on an unforgettable, adventurous trip to HOAC. This was an action packed day full of many thrilling, exhilarating activities. Each mini activity included being part of a randomly selected group allowing us to socialise with our peers and obtain leadership skills by taking turns leading the group to success in various competitions. One activity involved raft-making and the goal was to make a successful raft which did not sink while travelling across a river. The group able to do this was deemed the winner. Although this was very challenging, it was incredibly fun and made us extremely wet! HOAC was very beneficial and provided us with many skills such as teamwork and co-operation. Not only was the weather fantastic, but so were all the teachers who came with us on the trip! Everyone had a great time and would love to go again!
